Amphibious Excavator Prepared to Handle Seribu Islands Garbage Transporting

Process to move Seribu Islands garbage from boat to truck is done by using amphibious excavator in fishing pier. Boat is difficult to dock near the pier because of the dike.

According to plan, they will use spider excavator because distance between boat and pier is about four meters

Regarding garbage transporting, Seribu Islands Irbankab Auditor, Dede Hernandi mentioned, his side tries to move garbage from boat to truck in fishing pier.

More Than 50 Tons of Garbage Transported from Muara Angke

Garbage in Seribu Islands can reach 40 tons per day. But only 20 tons of garbage can be handled per day. Thus he encourages Environment Sub-dept. to transport and handle garbage as soon as possible.

"According to plan, they will use spider excavator because distance between boat and pier is about four meters," he conveyed after meeting with Environment Sub-dept., Monday (11/5).

Jakarta Environment Dept.'s Hygiene Management Division Head, Achmad Hariadi stated, there is a problem in pier thus process to move garbage from boat to truck is hampered. Thus his side will use Environment Dept.'s excavator to accelerate garbage transporting.

"We will use excavator. We try to use one heavy equipment and net to ease our work," he mentioned.
